UPDATEGames- I still plan to run 2 tables with 8000pts a side with whoever is there at 11am. PLEASE GET THERE ON TIME! Both games will be on ZADOC between the Imperium and the Alliance.
- Each game will be set up by me with rules on the day. Warlords will appoint their commanders on each table and assign 8000pts and an equal (or as close as) number of players per side. Armies may be split as the warlord sees fit, but army lists may not be broken up.
- Each game will have strategic assets so they may duplicated across tables.
- Reserves must be allocated to the table at the beginning (we are running effectively 2 independent apocalypses)
Timing- Games will start at 12. We should be able to run a turn per 90 mins, so "break" will be after 2 turns at 3. Then we will continue until break after turn 4 which should be 6:30. Turn 5 will be 7-8 then packup. (this has been tested at WW with similar sides).
Outcomes- If the alliance win both games, they will get the same as 5+5 (10) standard wins + mods. If the games are won by >2x VPs then its a 5 3pt wins per game, plus 10x the mod difference. In addition to this the imperium will suffer an immediate -3 to tau on mods (maxed).
- If the imperium win both games the tau invasion of Zadoc will be defeated. In addition the tau will suffer a -3 mod to imperium and the larger win will count in points towards the invasion of a tau world (but can only be used once the imperium successfully win a game against the alliance). Future alliance wins can erode this number if so wished.
- If the results are split, the net result is applied to Zadoc (difference in points) plus 5 times the mod difference if appropriate.
Players- Still somewhat uncertain. However bring more than 2k points if you can in case we need to play 3 a side instead. It may be we have a 3 on 4 (no matter).
Balance- It occurs the Eldar/Tau have the stronger codexes. The imperial will be given one extra strategic asset per table in the form of mission specific items.
Remember we also have the Gallery Eye and Meeting Room 1 for non-apocalypse players
It would be helpful to have as few "observers" as possible so that we can stick to timings!
