Blood Bowl

Postby Morph » Wednesday 29th May, 2013 11:49 am

Hi there sports fans,

There's been a new interest in Blood Bowl recently, so if we have enough people I thought I'd run a summer league and see how it goes.

It's a handy game to play over summer, since you don't need much space. I have the society boards if anyone wants to borrow them.

If you've not played before, well the rules are here..

I'll post the league rules when I get an idea of numbers.

So who's interested?

I am sure to regret this but go on. I have my own board and can teach people how to play if they wish.

You also have my set. I forgot to take it home. :)

...I'm in

Still keen to play other games like 40k over summer, but as Scrowe says, Bbowl is quick and convenient.

I been pondering about at least ordering the pass template. Possibly a play mat (though sounds like we have plenty of society copies).

I'm sure I can dust off one of my old teams for a few "friendly" games ;)

Just out of interest what company did you acquire your teams from?

Also for those of you that haven't played before http://bbtactics.com/ seems to talk reasonable sense on tactics / team building

Black scorpion minatures.
The link for the gaming tools I put up has a link to their and a few other company pages for minature ranges I think.

There are loads of companies out there making their own versions of fantasy football miniatures. As well as Black Scorpion there is:

http://www.comixininos.com/ These seem to be a one stop shop for everything, lots of manufacturers under one roof, including all the accessories, tokens, dice and conversion parts. As well as felt pitches!

Plus many more.

Dammit, watching Simon Canham's end of Nationals game has made me actually want to play Blood Bowl.

Someone save me...

That made you WANT to play Blood Bowl? :o My nerves have only just recovered, but if you want to learn there's a board in the locker at the university and we've got plenty of teams to choose from.

Heh, less nervy when you're watching!

Wonder if I could convert up some spare Lizardmen models. The team appeals to me.

Makes a good way to pass time between harder-to-get more-space-requiring games of 40k and WFB, anyway.
