ELDAR

Postby Talorian » Monday 20th May, 2013 6:43 pm

May 25th is the date that we'll know a lot more about the release of Eldar.

There's a shonky video on GW's website, if you really want to watch it, but we'll be getting all the info and pre orders type stuff on Saturday. Guess I'll be spending most of the X Wing nationals looking at my phone to find out as much info as I can.

Wonder if anyone at UK Games Expo will have copies of White Dwarf on them???

The Eldar giant walker has been known about since before the Riptide was spotted, though the original rumours about it being 4 legged are not true and that saddens me greatly.

There's lots bouncing around on the rumours front, I'm just trying to work out how best to get Rick to paint it all ;)

So Wraithknight is on pre-order for £70 - which I can understand is rather pricey for people on a budget. It seems... Huge though

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catal ... od2060062a

Its kind of super heavy size. Its 9 inches tall, compared to the Revenant titan which is 12 inches to the top of its head. This must be the biggest things ever made in plastic which isn't a tank (box...) - by GW

So I looked online for similar sized wargames objects, and saw some nice titan/giant robot models. Not eldar nice and not GW nice in general though. Also these other giant robots seem to be retailing at £95 :? So I failed to find anything for you guys to proxy!

e.g. http://www.waylandgames.co.uk/dreamforg ... 19888.html

actually how can i wedge this in my guard? :D

So... Now I need an eldar army to justify more giant robot madness... Unless I get an eldar allied detachment for my tau... :D

[edit] quick buy the wraihtknight before anyone reads this and thinks "hey we can charge more for this"

In a turn up for the books I quite like the movement towards the wraith based eldar units from a fluff sense as it always bothered me that for a technologically and psychically advanced race that was also battling against slow extinction eldar seemed to ready to throw away their lives. Better to let the dead fight for the living.

Obviously I will dislike it when it is broken as hell in game.....
What can you do against the lunatic who is more intelligent than yourself, who gives your arguments a fair hearing and then simply persists in his lunacy?

I plead the Scrowe defence: I've always played Eldar.
40k: Tau (gothic, AI), Tyranids (NetEpic, gothic), Dark Angels
WFB: Skaven (uncharted seas)
Also Played: Warmachine/Hordes, Infinity, Flames of War

My first 40k army was Guard with Eldar allies so, yep, I've always played Eldar.
