Wargaming for science take 2?

So due to potential noise complaints, Charles is now looking to only do this event on the Saturday. You lot can be so troublesome ;)

He's asked whether we can do 10am - 10pm again and they'll just leave the microphones running all day. I've suggested 4 3 hour slots, that would allow for plenty of time to play the games and do the sciencey bits at the same time. So the slots would be;

10am - 1pm
1pm - 4pm
4pm - 7pm
7pm - 10pm

Can I get a list of volunteers for each slot, I'm looking for double games of 40k, I guess 1000 points per player would work. We'll try and do the sensible half an hour in the first session, that way if we mess it up, we can pass the buck onto the next session. I'll fill in for any slot that has a gap, but I guess I'll start with volunteering for the first session, not that I think I'm more sensible/capable of being sensible for the half an hour, but that I'll actually be awake.

I can do any of those really. Would probably prefer somewhere midday but not too fussed.

Any apart from the last session for me. 1-4pm is preferable. I'll be playing Imperial.

Maybe available - will need to check on call etc. Also finish sticking some eldar together - always good to have an incentive!
What can you do against the lunatic who is more intelligent than yourself, who gives your arguments a fair hearing and then simply persists in his lunacy?

OK, so far we have the following definites;

Me - Orksies
Nik - ?
Duncan - ?
Tom Rose - ?
Jake - Spaze Mawines
Dan - Eldars
Mike - Imperials
Sam - Tau/Imperials
Scanham - Imperial Guard?
Victoria - Orksies

Potentials
Tim - if he can get out of working

We have been asked specifically for some female voices if we can find any, so I've roped in Vic and I'm hoping that Helen will be able to show up too. If anyone knows of any female 40k players who wouldn't mind being recorded and would like to come along, they don't have to have any affiliations with the Uni at all, then feel free to get them to contact me.

Really could do with a couple more volunteers otherwise some of us will be playing all day, not that we'll mind that too much, and they will have many many hours of our voices rambling on. I'm going to put together the pairings on Tuesday of this week and the games, so if folks could let me know what they are planning on bringing, that would be nice. 1000 points each, nothing too bent, I don't want the whole event being people whining, lets try and at least have some positives in there.

There will be 2 lots of food, one around lunchtime, one in the evening. They have been restricted to use university catering, but I'm sure Charles will have a decent selection for us.

Guard! :)

Also where are we meeting when? I've not been paying attention :D

All games will "count" in the campaign except any wierdo pairings, which will be just for fun :D

I'm hoping Nids actually.

I might be last minute booked for the evening, so not sure I'll be able to make that slot, but should be fine the rest of the day.

I'm still on for this, but could I lean to the earlier timings if possible? i.e. not do the last round 7pm-10pm

given that its release day, what ruleset are we using? Obviously I'm quite excited about the new rules, but it would probably make things more difficult. Thoughts?

I can either do crusade marines or imperial guard. Which every fits bestest.

I'm, I'm thinking 6th so we actually play something rather than having periods of silence and then ranting about the new rules.
