With increase in interest (particularly for more Fantasy) I have booked 2 additional 6'x4' tables

So we still have Spyral Prime for Apocalypse, plus 4 standard tables for other games.

I may be able to drive for this one, will confirm soon.

If people are at all driving and giving lifts, would there be any chance of getting a lift space back but not there? I will be in Nottingham already in the morning.

(On which note: when are people likely to arrive? Will anyone have a new Liz book - I won't have mine yet, though I know the rules well enough off by heart to write lists and play games.)

I can bring Wolves or Daemons but probably not both. Happy to play Apocalypse or normal games, would appreciate a lift though!

Are we doing 3 on 3 or 4 on 4, I guess chaos would be Tom, Mike, Pickles and maybe Simon vs Duncan (guard), me (Eldar), Nik (Eldar or Tau) and then either Sam or Rick with Tau.

We going for 2000 point standard forces and then 500 points per player of extras? Any other thoughts or ideas?

Is it worth posting this in more organised fashion - who is going, who is driving/able to give lifts, who is playing which games(if insufficient WHFB I'll arrange a game with a local via twitter)?

EG me:

Name: Jake
Games playing: WHFB (DoC or Liz)
Driving status: not a driver, would need a lift back but not out

Others add onto the post maybe?

Given that who is driving is always worked out on the day, that doesn't really work. Also we already have a list of who is playing what with a couple of either ors.

Working out who is playing the Apocalypse games, size and factions requires effort, as I'm working on the assumption the WFB will just be standard games at 2500 points.

2000pts +500 extras per person sounds eminently sensible if we have many players... however could we not try out the new APOCALYPSE rules?

I would therefore suggest upping the points to say 3000 per person OR an average of 2500 per person... whatever... to enable people to try out some of the less broken things like "tank formations" in the book.

I want to play a tank formation!

The idea of apocalypse now is that its not just a big 40k game, and I would like to try it out as suggested. Happy to be the "organising person" as labelled.

Can apocalypse players please let me know what they are playing if poss? If its as follows for example...

Apocalypse:
noodle (imperial)
talorian (eldar)
vassakov (imperial)**
Nik (Imperial/Tau)*

namhaft (chaos)
rommel (chaos)
Scanham (chaos)*

Why don't we try to set a "9000" limit on armies INCLUDING broken stuff, but they don't have to conform to codex lists (within obvious reason). A chance to play with special toys!

*up to you Simon & nik - also depends on points
**Could you chaos?

Thinking about it, might be better to keep the apocalypse 3v3 and 9000 pts and try the new rules in full. So not have TOO many people playing it

What do people think?

I'm ok with sitting that one out, I'll bring fantasy. Playing against all the toys doesn't appeal to me.

Edit: Actually, I'll probably be on the side with the most toys. That appeals to me even less...

I'm not bringing any of my Titans. People generally consider them to be unfair. I'll be bringing some other toys along instead.

Agree, smaller groups might be best. More than 3 per side could become onerous.

Wouldn't too bad having bigger groups when we're have all day in the Union. Not so great when Warhammer World staff want to go home and the Tau are still debating Turn 2: Shooting Phase A, Part 1... :?

I'll have Lizardmens with me, will be coming from home in the morning so no lift from me I'm afraid.

Can offer a lift back to Sheffield in the evening to spread the car spaces out a bit, particularly if some drivers are still playing games.

Looks like you have enough for 3 vs 3, I'll be bringing warhammer.
40k: Tau (gothic, AI), Tyranids (NetEpic, gothic), Dark Angels
WFB: Skaven (uncharted seas)
Also Played: Warmachine/Hordes, Infinity, Flames of War

So to summarise:

Apocalypse:
Ian, Duncan, Ian, Tom R, SCanham, Mike K

Fantasy:
Rick, Nik, Sam, SCrowe, Jake C, Tom P?

anyone have a preference on Ogres, HE or Chaos?

No preference here. Anyone got a preference for Liz or DoC from me? (I am likely to try to bring both, but not at all guaranteed.)
