Hey Thur!

Postby Shavaunt » Sunday 9th September, 2012 5:17 pm

Hello folks, i'm steal some of your life and server space with the post :D

Anyways, I'm Jerry and a 4th year chemist.

I'm planning on joining your fair society, so i've come to say hi :)

I've not really played anything in about 6 years, but I LOVE Warmachine where I play Cygnar (RIP MK I Centurion). But I have a Dark Angels army for 40k and some very broken High Elves and Empire (I was young  )

Like me please :)

Hi and welcome!

We have a few warmahordes players (I'm one of them - I have skorne) although I mostly go elsewhere to get my fix as there's only 4 of us. Hopefully we'll get a few new players with the intake so we can get a scene going. I have no doubt that Nik will find a multitude of ways your high elves could be more broken :) (or did you mean the models are physically broken?).
40k: Tau (gothic, AI), Tyranids (NetEpic, gothic), Dark Angels
WFB: Skaven (uncharted seas)
Also Played: Warmachine/Hordes, Infinity, Flames of War

There is a wargames store off the top of the moore which is very popular with the warmachine crowd, or there is another wargames society in sheffield (Sheffield and Rotherham wargamers - google them for details) which has a fairly strong warmachine representation.

I'm hoping we'll get a few more warmachine types joining once term starts though.

There is a guy called Dave Bone who can show you how to make your high elves more physically broken. :o

Hi, I used to play a fair bit of warmachine at the society but unfortunately I am moving to southampton at the end of the month. I can recommend going down to the outpost, which is the store at the top of the moor. People are playing there most days, the main night for warmachine is usually a thursday. They also do monthly tournaments that attract a high quality of player. If you are in sheffield before the end of september we can try and get a game in. I need to try to arrange a game with rick as well but moving is putting a big dent in my gaming time.
